Geometry in the Garden
Continuing our curriculum series focused on the updated mathematics and statistics learning area, educator Annelies Judson has pulled together a collection of geometry activities related to edible and native gardens within primary and intermediate schools. Connections with other maths strands and curriculum areas are also included, with links to the previous collections in this series (algebra, measurement and statistics).

Climate Futures Summit Connects Young Leaders
Written by Joel Patterson, 15 years old, from the Next Generation Conversation (NGC) in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This article shares the highlights and learning from the first climate futures summit at Mistletoe Bay, with young leaders from Te Tauihu Nelson Tasman area connecting with the NGC from Ōtautahi.

I Love My Island picture book - this was published in Feb 2025 but only just came on our radar thanks to a recommendation from colleagues in Porirua! It's widely available from most bookstores. Here's a blurb from the publisher's website:
