When you register for a paid membership, as outlined on our membership page, an invoice will be issued by NZAEE within 7 days of receiving the registration, for payment within 14 days. At that time of payment you will become eligible for the membership benefits of your chosen membership.
The following terms relate to the NZAEE national conference in October 2026.
Payments
All registration costs are in New Zealand Dollars and include GST of 15%. Once your registration has been received, a confirmation email and tax invoice/receipt will be issued by NZAEE within 7 days, for payment in full 14 days from the invoice issue date. If payment is not received on time, or prior to the conference registration closing date (September 11, 2026), we reserve the right to cancel your conference registration.
Delegate Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you have registered and are unable to attend the conference, you can either cancel or transfer your registration. A cancellation fee of $50 applies to all refunds, and refund amounts will be determined according to the dates listed below:
You may also apply to transfer your registration to someone else, by emailing us your request. Transfers will be allowed up to 3 days before the conference date and will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis, with final decisions made by the conference planning committee.
Accommodation cancellation: If you have also chosen the accommodation option for the conference, you can receive a full refund for this portion of your registration, up until one week before the conference (September 28th). After September 28th no refund will be available, but you can transfer your registration to someone else up to 3 days before the conference.
Event Cancellation Policy / Force Majeure
NZAEE reserves the right to cancel the conference if registration numbers are too low or other factors contribute to the event being financially unviable. We will make this decision no later than six weeks before the conference (August 26th) and offer a full refund to all delegates in this situation.
Force Majeure means events beyond the reasonable control of the Conference Convenors (NZAEE) including, without limitation, acts of God, national emergency, riots, civil commotion, terrorist activities, act of Government and industrial action. If the conference is cancelled or delayed by Force Majeure the Conveners will, as soon as is possible, give written notice of that to the Delegate specifying the matters constituting Force Majeure and the period for which such prevention or delay will continue, the Defaulting Party will be excused performance or the punctual performance (as the case may be) as from the date of such notice for so long as the Force Majeure continues. NZAEE will use their utmost endeavours to make alternative arrangements to enable the obligations to be performed or to make a full or partial refund for the Conference.
Insurance Policy
Insurance is the responsibility of each delegate. NZAEE and the Conference Committee will not be liable for any eventuality involving death, illness, injury, accident or financial loss to any person attending the NZAEE Conference 2026.
