Established in 2005, we were initially the Monarch Butterfly NZ Trust but realised that there were many people who didn't recognise our native butterflies (and detested moths).
We work with schools on establishing butterfly habitat, have speakers who visit schools and via webinars. Most schools sign up for a subscription to our magazine and many teachers have completed our On Line 'Create Butterfly Habitat' course.
Kids Greening Taupō engages tamariki and their whanau in authentic restoration projects. We also provide free online resources.
We support schools through strategic planning, hands-on workshops, in class modelling and coteaching to create successful pedagogical change
