Wildlife Foxton Trust

The Wildlife Foxton Trust is a registered charity which raises awareness about Aotearoa's fascinating, but lesser known, native fauna. Visit us to see geckos, skinks, invertebrates and some exotic newcomers.

What do geckos do with their shed skin? Could you recognize whitebait when they are all grown up? How many species of lizard does New Zealand have? And can you tell a native praying mantis from an introduced one?

Find out the answers to these questions (and many more) at the Wildlife Foxton Trust! We offer tours of our centre as well as guided visits to our RAMSAR recognized Manawatu Estuary and Foxton Beach.

Or, if you want to get 'hands on' we can assist with a local Marine Metre Squared study or Litter Intelligence data collection surveys. Contact our educator to find out more!
