Connect with trees in your local environment
This resource from the Department of Conservation (DOC) is part of the Exploring your Environment series, to encourage primary and intermediate students to go outdoors, explore and connect to a local green space.
Using this resource, students can:
- connect with and learn about widespread New Zealand native trees
- identify key native trees
- begin to understand how native plants and trees are part of a wider ecosystem.
