Become a citizen scientist and help solve our land litter problem
Keep NZ Beautiful's Backyard Battle citizen science programme gets students, teachers, volunteers and other citizen scientists out collecting and measuring litter at key inland sites, such as public parks, walkways, residential and retail areas, to help create a better understanding of litter’s pathway across our land.
The programme guide and resources include advice about choosing a site, equipment and safety, along with instructions and printable worksheets for the litter survey and data collection.
