Queenstown Conservation Curiosity Collective (C3)

The Conservation Curiosity Collective (C³) is a partnership of organisations working together to support place-based restoration projects and outdoor learning alongside schools across the Whakatipu Basin (Queenstown area).

Inspired by the collaborative model of Natur-ED in Wānaka, C³ brings together the Whakatipu Reforestation Trust, Whakatipu Wildlife Trust, Southern Lakes Sanctuary,  Enviroschools, Queenstown Lakes District Council and Otago Regional Council. Each organisation brings its own strengths, from native planting and predator control to biodiversity monitoring and freshwater health, creating a shared pool of expertise that schools can draw on throughout the year.

Four Queenstown schools are already involved in multi‑year restoration projects, giving students real opportunities to plant, measure, restore, and observe the living systems around them.
