This page has more information about our conference venue and the options for staying on site, to help you plan your visit to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. If you require support to plan your travel or have any questions about the accommodation and food options then please get in touch.
Situated in Blockhouse Bay, Motu Moana Camp is owned by Scouts Aotearoa and includes 25 acres of grounds with beautiful native bush, overlooking Manukau Harbour. Our conference will be based at the camp and in the surrounding area, with access to a range of outdoor spaces for learning and connecting with te taiao.
Location and Travel
The central location of the camp makes it very accessible for those travelling into Auckland and also for our local Tāmaki educators.
We will be in touch closer to the conference with more information about shuttle services or carpooling options. Carparking is available on the surrounding residential streets.
Accommodation at the Camp
We are pleased to offer an affordable option for those delegates who would like to stay onsite during the conference. This also provides more time for connecting with others during the evenings.
You will have two options for staying at the camp on Monday and Tuesday nights:
For both options, you will need to bring your own bedding including a pillow. You can check out the photos here, which give an idea of the accommodation options.
Shared bathrooms and kitchens are available for everyone staying onsite.
We will also provide breakfast as part of the accommodation option, which is included in the price when you register. For evening meals, you may choose to join us for the conference dinner and another optional shared meal on the other night (details will be shared closer to the time), or you can organise your own meals using the shared kitchen or offsite.
If you select the accommodation option when you register we will be in touch with more details and another short form for you to complete. This will help us plan an inclusive and enjoyable stay for all delegates.
You might prefer to stay in your own separate accommodation during the conference. We don't have an arrangement with any other accommodation providers, but there are lots of options in the New Lynn and Avondale suburbs nearby.
