This engaging full-day immersion in pedagogies of nature in Aotearoa will provoke thought and discussion around the importance of having a nature- and place-based curriculum. We will also delve into the practicalities, challenges and opportunities that come with this curriculum, empowering teachers in their unique environment.
Concepts such as risky play, tuākana- tēina, kaitiakitanga and kotahitanga are explored, with each concept aligning with both Te Whāriki and Te Whare Tapa Wha.
We wish to empower all teachers to nurture the well-being of tamariki through exploring their natural world and the curiosity it invites.
Ticket price includes morning tea and a light lunch.
