The Centres of Asia-Pacific Excellence (CAPEs) are a consortium of four universities: University of Auckland, the University of Waikato, the University of Otago, and Victoria University of Wellington. Together they collectively form a hub of intercultural expertise for New Zealanders to prepare for and find success in the diverse and vibrant Asia-Pacific regions of North Asia, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
This free webinar is the second in a series of six which are funded by the CAPEs. Since each webinar is stand alone you can register for as many as you like and you do not need to have attended a previous session.
Each session runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm via Zoom and is hosted by professional development facilitators from Te Whai Toi Tangata - a professional development provider at the University of Waikato. On the completion of the series all webinar content and resources will be available on the Growing Global Citizens in Aotearoa website.
At each webinar you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a unique angle on global citizenship education in Aotearoa. In this session,Jan-Marie Kellow and Pip Newick from Te Whai Toi Tangata (University of Waikato) invite you to explore ideas around getting started with global citizenship education.
